[ GIVING TO THE RAGLAND ]

Your gift to The Ragland ripples through the entire community.

  • In addition to presenting over 25 performances a year, The Ross Ragland Theater & Cultural Center is the venue of choice for over 215 fundraisers, meetings, rehearsals and events for local service, arts and educational organizations and individuals.
  • The Ragland serves more than 10,000 children through its Outreach & Education Programs.

Local support of The Ragland is essential.

  • The theater’s Access Program for Low Income Youth & Families helps ensure equal access to performances and educational activities to nearly 1,000 individuals annually.
  • Ticket sales cover only one third of the theater’s operating expenses.
  • It costs a little over $2,600 a day to run the theater.

This is your theater.

MANY WAYS TO GIVE…

Light the Tower

The theater is the cultural anchor of Klamath Falls and a central part of lives in our community.  After 30 years of providing premier entertainment the theater is in need of facility upgrades to remain a state-of-the art performing arts center.  Ticket sales only cover about a third of the cost to operate the theater.  The balance of funds come from generous commitments from our community and corporations so we are able to fulfill our mission each season.

#GivingTuesday

A global day of giving fueled by the power of social media and collaboration. Observed on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving (in the U.S.) and the widely recognized shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday, #GivingTuesday kicks off the charitable season, when many focus on their holiday and end-of-year giving.

What you can do is…

Join us this Giving Tuesday (Nov. 27) in creating a better RRT and a better Klamath Basin.  Sure, we offer tickets to our world-class entertainment events like Scotty McCreery, Starship, dance troupes and classical ensembles from all over the world. Yes, we sometimes charge rental fees to cover the costs of turning on our lights and heat for other groups to present events but those things only cover about one third of our operating costs.  That means in order to continue bringing people of the Basin the opportunity to connect with the world through music, movement and drama, AND to educate the students of the Klamath Basin we must rely on the generosity of corporate, foundational and individual givers like you. There are so many ways to join the Unselfie movement this Giving Tuesday:

  • Give time: Contact our volunteer coordinator Ruth Olsen at volunteers@rrtheater.org – we can ALWAYS use more hands!
  • Spread the love: Join the #unselfie movement by posting a photo of yourself on your favorite social media network with our giving sign to help raise awareness about Giving Tuesday and our own campaign.
